About Us
Teens for Food Justice is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering young people to address food insecurity in their communities through urban farming, nutritional education, and advocacy initiatives. Through hands-on experiences, we aim to create a sustainable and equitable food system while fostering leadership skills in the next generation of changemakers. By providing access to nutritious food, educating youth on the importance of healthy eating, and advocating for food justice, Teens for Food Justice is making a tangible impact on improving food security in urban areas.
Teens for Food Justice offers engaging programs that make learning about food production and nutrition enjoyable for young people.
Through urban farming projects, Teens for Food Justice introduces youth to science, technology, engineering, and math concepts in a hands-on and accessible way.
Participants in Teens for Food Justice programs develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities by addressing challenges related to food insecurity and sustainable agriculture.
By encouraging creativity in designing sustainable solutions and advocating for change, Teens for Food Justice inspires youth to think innovatively about addressing food inequality in their communities.
